Ferrari 458 Italia 2010

Overview:

Replacing the F430 as Ferrari’s entry-level screamer, the 458 has a new, direct-injected, 570-hp 4.5-liter V-8 and a sultry bod shaped for better aero. The cockpit layout is heavy on F1 style, and the seven-speed gearbox is paddle-shift only.

Price (est): $210,000

Pros:

The gold standard of super-cars, intoxicating arias of sound, unbelievable levels of performance.

Cons:

Expensive, a multiyear wait, not for shy folk.

What's New..??

Introduced for 2010

Behind The Wheel:

You don’t drive a Ferrari, you plug into its socket and brace for high voltage. The air-rippling roar, the slashing controls, the unbelievable grip, and the pure Ferrari-ness of it all make it well worth the dough.
