Overview:
The littlest Porsche offers sharp steering, slick handling, and sweet sounds and rotates around its mid-mounted engine with a safe-cracker precision. Others have more luxury, but the line for drivers forms behind the Boxster, and last year’s revised styling hardened its looks a bit.
Price: $48,550 - $58,950
Pros:
Attainable performance, steel-cut exhaust sounds, directly connected steering, two trunks.
Cons:
Options ain’t cheap (does anyone really need leather-lined vent slats?), less money can buy you more power.
What's New..??
Redesigned for 2005; unchanged for 2010.
Behind The Wheel:
A perfect blend of brisk power, athletic suspension, mid-engine balance, and marvelous brakes. Sits in the highest echelon of drivers’ cars.
